The Carolina Cycling Time Trial Association (CCTTA) is best known for sponsoring the Time Trial Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The CCTTA is an association supported by regional bicycle clubs whose volunteers lead, organize and put on the events. The CCTTA is a 501 (c) 4 not for profit organization and is operated by a Board of Directors consisting of representatives of local bicycle clubs and other experienced cyclists.
Not only has the CCTTA been responsible for the very popular TT series, they have also has been very supportive of the local community. Through the proceeds of the TT series, the CCTTA has contributed over $90,000 to local nonprofits and various cycling interests since its inception. The goal for 2011 is to be able to contribute enough to local organizations to push the total contributions over the $100,000 mark. Reaching the $100,000 would speak volumes about the dedication and service of the many volunteers and participants in the series. It is also good to know that dollars are going back into the community to help cycling in various ways.
Riding a 100k has always been a significant achievement for many riders. We know you’ll agree that reaching $100k in charitable contributions is very noteworthy as well for a small organization as ours.
