CCTTA Donates $7,000 to Speedway Children's Charities
The Carolina Cycling Time Trial Association is very pleased to announce a significant financial contribution to the Speedway Children's Charities (SCC). Joe Price, newly elected President of the CCTTA, made the official presentation to Bruton Smith and General Tom Sadler (see Presentation Photo) at Charlotte Motor Speedway on January 21, 2010. The CCTTA Board of Directors approved a contribution of $7000 to the SCC from funds received in 2009. The CCTTA was able to make this contribution due to the leadership of long time President Bill Wiseman along with all the dedicated work of the many volunteers that help put on the Time Trial events at the Speedway.
This was the 6th year in a row the CCTTA has been able to make a sizeable contribution to the SCC. It also illustrates that the 6 events held in 2009 at the Speedway were very well attended. The CCTTA has contributed over $41,000 to the Speedway Children's Charities since forming the Association.
The Carolina Cycling Time Trial Association is a 501c4 organization that promotes Time Trials and Cycling. The Association consists of bicycle clubs and related groups and is a volunteer organization. Another Time Trial series is planned for 2010 and will consist of 6 events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Association is extremely fortunate to be able enjoy an excellent partnership with the Speedway officials who continue to support the Association’s vision along with the events.
