The first annual Speedway Children's Charities Open Time Trial Championship will be held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on the morning of Sunday, November 9. This special one-day time trial championship is open to all recreational and licensed cyclists. This event is NOT part of the Lowe's Motor Speedway Time Trial Series.  A separate set of track and category records will be up for grabs for this annual championship event.  The Speedway Children's Charities Open Time Trial Championship will be a longer race with a distance of a nominal 20 Kilometers.  Although this is primarily the Time Trial Championship, we understand not everyone wants to race in the 20K TT championship. For these individuals, we will also offer a 10 mile non-championship time trial.

With the help and generosity of Lowe's Motor Speedway, the CCTTA has been granted a rare opportunity to race at the Speedway on a Sunday morning. To make this day even more special, the Big Stampede Bike Expo & Swap is being held the same day.  As a bonus, all cyclists that pre-register will receive a complimentary admission to the Big Stampede Bike Expo & Swap.  If you haven't had the opportunity to race at Lowe's Motor Speedway, now is your chance. This is your opportunity to go for the gold and claim the title "Champion of 2008 Speedway Children's Charities Open Time Trial Championship".  Specially designed, The Speedway Children's Charities Open Time Trial Championship medals will be presented to the fastest three time trialists in each category of the 20K TT Championship.  Regadless if you're a recreational and licensed cyclists, this is the opportunity to race the best in the southeast. A special cash price will also be awarded to the man and woman who set the fastest time for the 20K TT and in doing so, also exceed the average miles per hour for the existing 10 mile Track Record. All medals and awards will be presented at the Speedway once results become official. We hope this be no later than 1:00 PM.

The Speedway has a busy schedule on this date but they have generously made the track available to the CCTTA for this race.  We MUST be finished and all items off of the track by 11:00 AM.   To accomplish this, the first riders will start at 8:00 AM with the last rider starting a little after 10:00 AM.   Because of the time schedule, it's necessary that we cap the total number of entries for both time trials to 500 riders.

All proceeds from this special event will be donated to the Speedway Children's Charities to support their philanthropic efforts throughout the Carolinas, supporting children in many ways.

You won't want to miss this special TT Championship.  Mark your calendar to be at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Sunday, November 9, for the First Annual Speedway Children's Charities Open Time Trial Championship.  Make it a special day.  Bring your family and friends so they can watch and cheer you on as you race your best at Lowe's Motor Speedway.   What a day it will be -- Race the clock at Lowe's Motor Speedway, go over and grab some special deals at the Big Stampede Bike Expo & Swap and while you're having all of this fun, you'll also be benefiting the efforts of the Speedway Children's Charities!
