TT Seminar Feb 9 at LMS Speedway
If you’re looking to improve your time trial times, keep your calendar open on Saturday, February 9, from 1:00 till 5:00 pm.
With the growing popularity of the Time Trials at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, cyclists are increasingly seeking ways to improve their times. Through Humpy Wheeler's assistance, the CCTTA will produce a time trial specific seminar to help cyclists that enjoy the event to better prepare for the 2008 Time Trials and hopefully, will improve their race times. The Seminar will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the Media Center at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
With the TT Series at the speedway being open to cyclists of all capabilities, we have participants with a broad range of experience and capabilities. The seminar has been geared to offering something for most everyone. Basic information is offered for those who are new to time trialing and need some help to get started. This will be followed by a more advanced, longer segment for individuals that have been racing but may have hit a time/performance plateau and need some tips and guidance on how to break through to the next level.
The topics of the seminar include:
- Nutrition – Pre-race and post-race nutrition requirements. The role of supplements.
- Training - Identify your weaknesses. Establish a training program specific for time trialing.
- Equipment - The effect of equipment on ride time.
- Aerodynamics – Ways to optimize position and reduce drag.
We have assembled some of the best minds and talent in the Carolinas for this special Time Trial Seminar.
Panelists include:
- Chad Andrews - Per4mance Training
- Andy Applegate – Velosports Performance Center
